At Dartington C of E Academy our vision is “Together We Grow, Together We Flourish’ which underpins the curriculum that we provide for our wonderful pupils. We believe that all of our children are unique and aspire for them to live their life to the fullest. Our children are safe and happy in our Nursery. They spend their days sharing, talking, singing, problem solving, being playful and questioning the world in which they live. Through play, they practice new skills, investigate the world around them and challenge themselves to succeed. Our team of expert practitioners nurture the children’s character, building the foundations of confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
Our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit is open between 9am and 3.00pm. During this time parents and carers may access up to 30 hours of free entitlement for Nursery aged (F1) children, if they meet the entitlement criteria.
Time slots are of no less than three hours in any one day, starting from 9am.
Children may order a school lunch at a charge of £2.50 per day or bring a packed lunch if their time falls during a lunch period.
In addition to the free entitlement parents and carers may book Nursery Childcare within our Foundation Stage at a charge of £4.50 per hour.

Attendance at nursery school gives children a valuable introduction to school, helping them to develop positive attitudes to learning and to mix easily with other children. Dartington Nursery offers a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can thrive, grow and have fun.

Parents and carers are welcome to our Pippins Toddler Group from with their pre-school children every Tuesday between 9 – 10 am. For just £1.50 per child parents with their babies and preschool children are able to join in our activities sessions with our Nursery practitioner where they will learn and explore and enjoy song and story times. This also includes a snack for the children as well as teas, coffees and biscuits for parents/Carers. All are very welcome and this is an ideal opportunity to get to know our school in an informal and sharing way.
