On Thursday 10th February BBC Spotlight News team visited Dartington to interview Mrs Huish and our children on our fundraising event ‘Superhero Day’ which raised money for a defibrillator at Meadowbrook community centre. Installed by a charity called Jay’s Aim who help the ‘public access defibrillators (PADs) in more than 50 locations throughout South-West England.’
Jay’s Aim vision is to provide as many accessible PADS to ‘increase the likelihood of a defibrillator being available in an emergency cardiac-arrest situation.’
Mrs Huish and our four brave children explained to the BBC Spotlight team the importance of supporting the community. “Our vision and Christian values underpin all that we do here at Dartington. It shapes how we act and how we treat each other.”
This was a fantastic opportunity for our children to broadcast our vision and values by showing ‘Courageous Advocacy’ for all members of the school community.
We are so proud and honoured to be part of this incredible cause in Jay’s name and we would like to thank the Trustees Simon and Dan and Will Fitzgerald Dartington Recreation Association.
