Our vision and values underpin all that we do here at Dartington. It shapes how we act, how we treat each other, and our curriculum offer to our pupils. The vision and values of the school have been created with all members of the school community so that we share our understanding of what it is like to be part of the family.

Our vision is ‘Together We Grow, Together We Flourish’. We believe that Dartington is the rich soil from which our children can grow and flourish and be ready for their next step in life.

This is underpinned by our Christian values which are:

• Compassion: this helps us understand how to treat each other and how we show care, kindness, understanding and love to the members of our school family and beyond
• Trust: this lies at the heart of all of our relationships and we explore our circles of trust.
• Peace: we learn about the different types of peace and it supports our focus on wellbeing when we explore ‘peace of mind’ and ‘inner peace’.
• Wisdom: we explore making wise choices, consequences of our words and learning wisdom from others and how we grow and learn from our mistakes.
• Creation and Creativity: we celebrate our different gifts that we bring to the school family and we are thankful for our differences and unique skills.
